Wolf Hollow by Lauren Wolk (2016)

Annabelle has lived in Wolf Hollow her entire life. But when Betty arrives, Annabelle learns how to lie and now is a target for no good reason, Annabelle’s peaceful life is now completely shattered into pieces. Betty is a bully and Annabelle struggles not knowing what to do or who to tell however, what she does know is that Toby – a loner – is watching the situation from the hills.

But then something serious happens, and fingers point at Toby. Annabelle is determined to seek justice before it’s too late…

Annabelle is a captivating character; she is perceptive about the effect her actions might have on other people. There are also times when she fails to understand why somebody might be different from herself. I really enjoyed this book because it showed how passionate and determined Annabelle is.
If you enjoy this book, I would definitely recommend you to read “My Own Lightning” which is based on this book!
