This book had me on the edge of my seat… Under Taliban law, women and girls are not allowed to leave home. This story is about a young girl called Paravana living with her mum and sisters but four days later they face starvation leading to Parvana having to sneak out as a boy to get her food. It is a dangerous plan but, their only choice. The book tells us about real life in Afghanistan, by an award winning author. The novel educates us and opens our eyes. An honest, heart-breaking and positive story of an act of enormous courage and creative survival in an intolerable environment.
The story brings thrill, excitement, and shows us a real story of bravery however there is an element that gets you at the edge of your seat.
I would recommend this book, for those who love to read a book with history and tension it is an amazing book with great meaning. I truly believe you all should read it.
