Nevermoor: The Trials Of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend (2017)

Plot: Morrigan crow, our protagonist, is cursed because she was born on an unlucky day. Her community hates her and blames her for every misfortune, but on her 11th birthday, the day that she was supposed to die, an extraordinary man called Jupiter North comes to rescue her. From there, she travels to a whole new world she didn’t even know existed.

Positives: From the first page, I was already in love. I was delighted by the humour of our main character and the weird, but wonderful society which we are introduced to. I particularly loved the characters, their relationships and Interactions with each other. The world is so vivid and magical that I always forgot about my surroundings and how much time was passing when I read this book.

Negatives: I don’t think there are any negatives and every person, no matter their age, can enjoy this book.
