August Pullman is an extraordinary boy who is different from others, and special. Many things are difficult for him and such becomes even worse when he first starts middle school. Everything is different for him and not much is easy for him as it is for others. Soon after, August makes friends that he can truly rely on and understands that not everybody is the same and that there will always be someone by your side.
This book is a true inspiration to me and many others as it teaches us that nobody should judge anyone because they are different. Everyone is different and special in their own way, sometimes you just haven’t discovered your hidden talent.
When I first finished the book, the first thought that popped up in my mind was that why was August being treated differently just because he is a little different: he isn’t hurting you, talking to you nor making eye contacting with you, so what’s the point? This book really resembles reality however we can make a change to it.
This book had a whole different background compared to the books I usually read: mystery and adventure. I don’t usually enjoy reading but when I first read the blurb of this book, it intrigued me and I felt like it was asking me to read it. Because of this book, it has motivated me to read other books which I have enjoyed as well!
Who I would recommend this to: I would definitely rate this book a five star and hope you would too! Moreover, I think there is no age requirement for this book and would recommend everyone to read it.
