Delicates, Brenna Thummler (2021)
The sequel to Sheets, this book is again filled with soft colours and warmth. As Marjorie tries to fit in her new ‘friend group’, her ghost friend Wendell doesn’t know where- or how to. And there’s Eliza. Ghost photography obsessed, and seen as a freak. You get told to just ‘be yourself’, and that’s precisely what Eliza’s doing, but what if that doesn’t work?
Reflecting and incredibly realistic, this story captures all the emotions in beautifully.
A life is very, very delicate. I recommend this book to Upper KS3+, some sensitive topics.
