One of Us Is Lying, Karen M. McManus (2017)

About the book: a high school boy, Simon creates a school blog where he was going to share a secret about one of his four friends. Simon is allergic to peanuts and either Nate, Cooper, Addy or Bronwyn puts peanut oil in his drink and takes away his EpiPens from the nurse’s office and Simon dies. The four of them are called to the headteacher’s office and assigned with detectives to find out the killer.

Positives: The book was really engaging and the author describes each of the characters in depth, providing a good insight into each and their possible motivation.

Negative: The author revealed who the killer was really early in the book and made the killer look obvious.
