When Stars Are Scattered, authors: Omar Mohamed, Victoria Jamieson, illustrators: Iman Geddy, Victoria Jamieson (2020)

About the book: This book really inspired me to write a review because it is about my country, Somalia. The story is about two brothers who have lost their mum and dad and have to go to refugee camp, they have to live with a woman there. The big brother has to protect his little brother because he is his only family member. A couple months, later the big brother has to go to school leaving the younger brother behind to play by himself; he feels upset as he is left all alone. They are invited to go to America but choose Canada and have to wait a long time because there are a lot of people on the list to go abroad.

Positives: This book was inspiring because it shows us what we must be grateful for because not everyone has opportunities like us. Everyone I know who has read this book has loved it, so you should definitely read it!

Negatives: I feel like there is nothing that is negative about this book as it is a great read.
