My Sister, the Serial Killer, Oyinkan Braithwaite (2018)

This book is excellent and I read it in two days flat – I was hooked from the moment I picked it up. I could not put it down! The humour is deadpan and you’ll find yourself unable to stifle your laughter at the most inappropriate moments.

The flow of the narrative is at an all encompassing pace and on par with a whodunnit mystery. The energy, as the narrative unfolds, builds little juncture stops along the way with a question or conclusion which leads to more questions for the reader. No words are wasted and no prisoners are taken literally! It’s down to business of a convoluted clean up where bleach in some parts will not cut the mustard. I highly recommend this book.
