Diamond Girls, Jacqueline Wilson (2004)

Plot: This book is all about a family of five: a single mother, four daughters and a new sibling who has yet to arrive.  As the new baby’s due date approaches, their mother decides to move to a bigger house. But to their surprise, the house is not what it seems and certainly not like the pictures they were show! Now they are in a hot mess and have no idea what to do, especially when the baby is about to come. They try their hardest to get the place ready for the big day but they don’t have enough time. Will they ever fix up the house? What will they do if they are not ready in time? Be sure to read this book.  

Positives: The book is full of suspense and you will always want to read on as you want to know what happens next. You can never grow bored of it as there is quite a lot of drama. 

Negatives: It can be a bit stressful at certain times as you want to know what is going to happen.
